Recent finds & a possible outfit . . .

I thrifted a Liz Claiborne plum knit 2 piece set yesterday (I ditched the skirt, it was kind of awful) intending to sell it, but tried it on for kicks. And now I think I'm keeping it...whoops! But now I'm having trouble styling it. Alright now be honest with me - too '80s call girl?

Plum sweater dress with gold studs: Thrifted
Extra long black leggings: Target
Black suede shoes: Deena & Ozzy for Urban Outfitters

And here are a couple things I've gotten lately but haven't figured out how to style yet, either. Feel free to make suggestions on what to wear this stuff with, I'm having a "fashion block" or something I guess :P!

  4. Um...yeeeessss. You'd better get rid of that sweater straightaway. In fact, just to be on the safe side, I'd better have you send it to me for proper disposal...um...in my closet.

  6. I already offered my two cents on the dress elsewhere, but I just want to say that normally I would look at that vest and be like, "Hell, no!" but I can see you pulling it off. I think it would be good with some modern, edgy pieces, like really tight jeans (you def have the legs!), and maybe a plain, fitted white shirt. That would take the Blossom/Phoebe on Friends implications away, I think.

  7. Oh, that plum sweater is bangin'! And that velvet floral vest is dynamite. Sorry to use such outdated slang terms but oh my, is it necessary because the effect is still powerful within those terms. Have you tried the sparkly top with the velvet vest?? Although I think that'd be kinda cool, it might be sensory overload.

  9. Is that glittery sweater oversized? If so, you can wear it with a high waisted black fitted skirt. Also, I have a busy vest just like yours and I'm yet to figure out how t wear it. It's frustrating, really. All I know is that it has to be paired with some simple and one color.

Anywho, just stumbled into your blog. Nice style.
